Registration
To participate in the Andamooka SALA exhibition, you must first be a resident of Andamooka or the surrounding area. Then complete the Registration Form and return it to the town office along with your $35 registration fee.
Registrations are NOW OPEN FOR 2024.

Public Liability Insurance
It is now a requirement for all exhibition participants to be registered with APOMA for Public Liability Insurance. Please enquire at the Andamooka Town Office to ensure your details are up to date.

The fee for exhibiting in a public space is $10 per exhibition/installation/instance of item(s).

An instance is considered to last until such time as those items are removed, rearranged, or reinstalled in the space. For example, the main SALA exhibition is one instance, while the ‘After SALA’ Reshuffle is considered a new instance.
If you have any questions to how this works, please ask at the Town Office.

Artwork
All participants are required to produce or provide a body of work to exhibit in the Andamooka Community Hall as part of the event. A minimum of 5 pieces are required, that have not been exhibited in Andamooka during a previous SALA event.
Andamooka Community Hall is equipped with a gallery style hanging system to facilitate the hanging of artwork. For wall hanging pieces, you must provide your own frames and D-rings. D-rings are essential for the artwork to be compatible with the hanging system installed in the Hall.

More information is available here.
Please note, as the exhibition is in a public space, the safety of artworks cannot be guaranteed. Participation is at your own risk.
Required Information
Artworks in the exhibition are intended to be sold. There is a 10% commission on all sales, and all transactions. Please keep this in mind when pricing your artwork.
Pieces can be marked as “Not For Sale” if required.
Prior to installation day, you are required to provide a detailed list of the work you will be exhibiting, including the Name, Sale Price, Artwork Type and Approx. Size for each of your pieces. This helps us plan the arrangement and display of the exhibition and make Installation Day run smoothly.

Each artist is also required to provide a brief Artist’s Statement (300 words maximum). This is a quick description of yourself and your work and will be used for promotional purposes as part of the exhibition.

Installation
On installation day you will be required to bring your work to the Andamooka Hall and assist the organisers in hanging it as part of the exhibition.

Upon the conclusion and closure of the exhibition, you will be required to help take down any unsold artworks, and remove them.
